SOCSO administers and executes two types of schemes known as the Employment Injury Insurance Scheme and the Invalidity Pension Scheme. The Employment Injury Insurance Scheme provides protection to employees who suffer from employment injury including occupational disease/illness and work related commuting accident. On the other hand, the Invalidity Pension Scheme provides 24-hours coverage to employees against invalidity or death caused by whatever reason.
